Service Description

Marvel yourself with the geological formations of the salt mountain range, with its crystallized salt rocks, with breathtaking views of the Moon Valley, the Andes mountain range, the Domeyko mountain range and the great basin of the Atacama salt flat. Route: 1. Pick up at your hotel. 2. During the morning or in the afternoon, we'll go to the entrance of Moon Valley, which belongs to Los Flamencos National Reserve, just 6 km (4 mi) west of San Pedro de Atacama. 3. We'll see the Amphitheater, the Great Dune and we'll go to the end of the national reserve to see a natural sculpture called "Las Tres Marías" (The three Maries). 4. On the way back we'll park the vehicle to take a light walk (10 to 15 minutes) to reach the viewpoint of the Great Dune and see the entire Moon Valley from above. 5. We'll walk back to the vehicle to go to another viewpoint, but this time over the great basin of the Atacama salt flat with an open view of 100 km (65 mi). 6. Return to your hotel. Maximum altitude: 2500 mt (8000 ft) above sea level. Duration: 3.5 hours. Total distance: 40 km (24 mi). Hours: Morning 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Afternoon 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM (winter) or 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM (summer) Includes: Entrance fee, professional guide, private transportation. Recommendations: Bring water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, closed shoes, light and cool clothing.


Cancellation Policy

To book you must pay 30% of the total cost, the remaining balance must be paid before the last day of our tours. Once the booking is made, we will block your tour dates on our calendar and reject potential customers for those dates, as our guide will be reserved for you. We accept USD cash (bills must be in excellent condition; only 50 and 100 USD notes are accepted), as well as credit and debit cards and PayPal. In the event of a cancellation, you may also choose to reschedule the tours. For our preset tours: Full refund for cancellations made 30 days or more before the tour starts. 50% refund for cancellations made 15 to 29 days before the tour starts. No refund for cancellations made less than 15 days before the tour starts. For our customized multi day tours: Full refund for cancellations made 60 days or more before the tour starts. 50% refund for cancellations made 30 to 59 days before the tour starts. No refund for cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour stars. In the event that you need to cancel the tour at the last minute due to unforeseeable events, you must contact Sublime Travel customer support to qualify for a refund.
