Service Description

We'll start the tour having breakfast at the French bakery "La Franchutería", later on we'll go south to visit the town of Toconao, which thanks to the purity of its water has beautiful orchards, we'll pass through the Tropic of Capricorn and then through the town of Socaire. We'll continue going up to the Andean high plateau to visit the Aguas Calientes III salt flat, known as Piedras Rojas, where after about 20 minutes of walking we will arrive next to its waters. We'll continue by the car to the Tuyajto lagoon and the rock formations called "Los Castillos" in the middle of the Yellow Pampa, we'll have lunch there, in a quiet place with such a serene view that you'll never forget. We'll enjoy a delicious meal prepared by an international chef, who prepares vegetarian and vegan food, please don't think "just lettuce". She also uses local ingredients to make your experience even more enjoyable. After lunch, we'll visit the lagoons Miscanti and Meñiques with their respective volcanoes, from there we'll go back to the Atacama salt flat to visit Chaxa lagoon to watch flamingos Route: 1. Pick up at your hotel. 2. Breakfast at the French bakery, croissant, pain au chocolate, baguettes, coffee and more. 3. We'll visit the oasis town of Toconao, where there are many fruit trees with gardens next to the river. 4. We'll make a quick stop at the big Tropic of Capricorn sign. 5. We'll pass through Socaire, at 10500 ft (3220 mt) above sea level; the last Chilean town before the border with Argentina. We'll drive about 1 more hour to the Aguas Calientes III salt flat (Piedras Rojas) where we'll hike for 1 hour, round trip, to reach the edge of the salt flat and the lagoon. 6. Moving a little further to see the Tuyajto lagoon, then we'll go to Pampa Dorada and its rock formations called "The castles" where we'll have lunch. 7. We'll visit the Andean high plateau lagoons in Los Flamencos National Reserve, each one at the foot of two volcanoes, Miscanti and Meñiques. 8. Visit Chaxa lagoon to watch flamingos Maximum altitude: 4200 mt (13800 ft) above sea level. Duration: 10 hours. Total distance: 360 km (223 mi). Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Includes: Entrance fee, professional guide, private transportation, lunch, wine and juice. Recommendations: Don't drink alcohol or eat red meat the night before, wear warm clothing and layers, windbreaker, water, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen.


Cancellation Policy

To book you must pay 30% of the total cost, the remaining balance must be paid before the last day of our tours. Once the booking is made, we will block your tour dates on our calendar and reject potential customers for those dates, as our guide will be reserved for you. We accept USD cash (bills must be in excellent condition; only 50 and 100 USD notes are accepted), as well as credit and debit cards and PayPal. In the event of a cancellation, you may also choose to reschedule the tours. For our preset tours: Full refund for cancellations made 30 days or more before the tour starts. 50% refund for cancellations made 15 to 29 days before the tour starts. No refund for cancellations made less than 15 days before the tour starts. For our customized multi day tours: Full refund for cancellations made 60 days or more before the tour starts. 50% refund for cancellations made 30 to 59 days before the tour starts. No refund for cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour stars. In the event that you need to cancel the tour at the last minute due to unforeseeable events, you must contact Sublime Travel customer support to qualify for a refund.
