Rainbow Valley and ancient petroglyphs

Travel back in time with ancient engravings carved into rocks, be embraced by colorful clay hills

Descripción del servicio

On the way to Valle del Arcoíris and Yerbas Buenas, there may be herds of wild guanacos and for sure flocks of birds flying around, in a beautiful and colorful landscape. In Yerbas Buenas there are ancient engravings made by the ancient inhabitants of the Atacama, this place is one of the most important archaeological sites in the area. These human beings from the past traveled long distances from the Atacama salt flat, with caravans of llamas carrying goods to exchange with the tribes that lived along the Loa river, the only access to the far Pacific Ocean. The rainbow valley is made up of hills of colored clay and plutonic rocks that make the landscape so surreal that it seems like the setting for a science fiction movie. Route: 1.
